Perfect Replacement: Was given a Coleman Powermate PRO-GEN 5000, has Briggs and Straton Vanguard 9hp engine. Generator was bought in 2001 and never had been unboxed. ISSUE: > Without knowing the rubber seal inside gas cap had dry rotted and dissolved as soon a fuel hit it. Carb was clogged big time. So, bought this replacement and installed AFTER tank and petcock and lines were flushed clean of what was left of rubber gasket in gas cap. RESOLVED: > Exact replacement for a unit that was bought in 2001. RESULT: > Started on second pull and ran how it should. HAS now started on first pull each time since.
